Cooper was surrendered by his owners to the city shelter where he was kept in a 4’ x 6’ kennel for 8 months before being placed on the euthanasia list. CMC2 rescued him. When he was rescued the only place for him was an unoccupied chicken coop: thus the name “Cooper”. Since then Cooper had his bags packed to come to Canada, only to have his adoption fall through.

According to his foster, Cooper is a gentle giant with the loveliest big ears. He has a sweet disposition, is very smart and leans towards being calmer. He is not a high energy boy at the foster’s home. He just loves scratches and belly rubs. He would just love long walks. He walks well on a leash with a martingale collar. He does not show food aggression or food protection, but waits patiently for his food to be put in his bowl.

At the shelter, the kennels would be powerhosed while the dogs were in the kennel, so Cooper i afraid of the hose, but he should be okay with pools of water.

Cooper loves the car: jumps right in and stays in the back.

He has waited for so long for a family (almost 3 years) just because he is a big boy. He would make a wonderful addition to a family. He has so much love to give.

Cooper has two sponsors that will each pay $100 of his adoption fee.
